According to History, Memorial Day became a federal holiday in 1971 to commemorate those killed in any American-fought war. For many, it's the start of the summer season giving people time off from work to spend with family and friends. Pause to remember that this is a solemn holiday, take time to remember all who were lost while protecting our freedoms.
Spending time with family and friends is what the Kent Rod & Gun Club is about, providing many opportunities to enjoy club gatherings and sportsman events throughout each year. As the pandemic and its restrictions have waned, significantly, we look forward to a continuance of club activities and, given the ever-rising price of gas, there's nothing like staying close to home and take part in the fun.
