Holiday Greetings-Club Update

As another year comes to a close, may I once again take the opportunity to thank those members who make every effort to come out and support club events, aside from our club regulars, several who never hesitate to pitch-in and help whenever it's needed.   Participation is key, it is what keeps our club moving forward and much appreciation goes out to all for their continued support.

Our first General Membership Meeting of 2016 will be on Friday, January 8th at 8 p.m.; as usual, we will be ready to update photos for member ID's and Red Mastrobuono will be scoring racks from all registered members for our Big Buck Contest.  Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at our February meeting.

Please take a look at our 2016 Calendar of Events here on the club's website; there have been a few updates and copies will be available at our meetings.

I join our Board of Directors in wishing members, families and friends of the Kent Rod and Gun Club, a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.

Fall Club Update!

One more Summer comes to an end and, over the past months, our club has enjoyed a great run of events.  Now, many of our members are geared-up and ready for another great season to open; we wish them good luck and safe hunting.

Our Annual Family BBQ in August was an enjoyable day for everyone.  Red Mastrobuono and his crew put together an organized and fun day filled with food and plenty of laughs.  Red's "Garbage Pail Turkey" was a huge hit and everyone lined-up for a big taste!  This annual event is a great day for our members, family and friends, to kick-back and take part in a leisurely afternoon.

This past week-end, the second of our Ladies Day at the Range events was held and the girls had an outstanding time!  Following an important safety lecture, everyone was treated to a great luncheon and then it was off to the club ranges for some target and trap shooting plus archery.  Thanks to Flying Arrow Sports of Carmel for generously donating equipment for the ladies to use and...to Taurus for sending boxes of brochures and goodies to share with everyone.

Special thanks go out to club Instructors/RSO's and members who gave up their Sunday to assist and guide the ladies on our ranges.  The feedback we've received has been overwhelmingly positive, especially with the education that was provided in safe gun handling procedures.  All the ladies want to know when we're doing it again!!
